  • Passage: Nehemiah 1:8-11

  • Reflection: Nehemiah prays and confesses to God the sins of the people but then remembers and speaks in a way that seems to be declaring or reminding God of His promises to His people. He knows the Scriptures and uses them as a foundation for his request. We should know God's word and use it in our daily prayers.

  • Questions: How familiar are you with God's promises in the Bible? How can you incorporate specific promises into your prayers?
